Tranquility, Part VI

The fool folds his hands and ruins himself.
Better one handful with tranquillity
than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.

  1. As for your Drubbings post (which hasn't appeared yet, but I've read on Reader — that happens every now and then) ...

No, I trashed my comment because it seemed rather judgmental of Christian behaviour, and I didn't want you to take it personally ... but I did want you to know that I've read your post (the one that you haven't posted yet) before I move on. :)

    Sheesh! This is confusing.

  2. Not confusing at all, AC.

First off, I posted, then unposted, because I was having second thoughts. On further reflection (i.e. 3rd thoughts), I reposted. What I said was the truth, and I think it needs to be said.

As for the Christian behavior...well, I don't chalk it up to that. I wish that being Christian were a guarantee of better behavior, but it isn't always. There are some folk who are much kinder on our campus, but they tend to be the ones who also can't stomach Senate, so they put their energies in elsewhere and are affirming when they meet me in the halls and other committees.

You're right. It's confusing. :) Thanks for commenting.
