At the edge of a tidepool, Oregon Coast
There is no such thing as perpetual tranquility of mind while we live here; because life itself is but motion, and can never be without desire, nor without fear, no more than without sense. ~~Thomas Hobbes, British philosopher
Love the picture, the comment--makes me wonder. I feel sure it is correct until it comes to the with out sense part. Way too much of life seems to have little if any sense at all--especially in the political world.
ReplyDeleteAh, the Oregon Coast tidepools. Nothing more tranquil, in my mind, than the Oregon Coast. In spite of the crashing waves and pounding surf on the larger-than-life rocks...somehow it brings peace to the soul that cannot otherwise be found. A piece of Heaven on Earth, I'd say. At least...from what my pitiful human mind can contrive and imagine of Heaven...
