India, Part 2

As we stood in the afternoon breezes on the patio that surrounds the Taj Mahal, I spied this little tableau.  I loved the way the man was listening to the woman as she talked.  I interpreted his body language as conveying a mixture of love, amusement, and perhaps a pinch of patience.  Between the human interest and the bright colors (And the bag slung over the man's shoulder, which my son-in-law was quick to point out: "Hey! A man-purse!"), I felt like I captured a treasure with this photo.

Speaking of bright colors, India specializes in color. Bollywood, the huge cinematic entertainment industry of India, is known for its love affair with saturated color.  But it's not a caricature.  Indians know how to celebrate vivid, joyful, energetic hues.  So that's what this post is about.  Enjoy the collection of bright colors below, as presented by the women of India!
